THEATRE: Back by popular demand, Monty Python's Spamalot is having a month-long return engagement at the Canon Theatre. The Tony Award winner for Best Musical, Spamalot follows King Arthur (played by the hilarious Gary Beach) and his knights on their quest for the Holy Grail. The show is a must-see for Monty Python fans, but will still be lots of fun for everyone else, even if they don't grasp the multitude of subtle Python references. Canon Theatre (244 Victoria Street), 8 p.m., $69–$175.

Freddie Mercury, tied down on a flatbed trailer, was removed from the Canon Theatre on Yonge Street yesterday where he has been perched over the entrance during the 61-week run of the Queen musical We Will Rock You.

There are those of us whose parents started bringing us to the Dream in High Park when we were six, who have probably seen A Midsummer Night's Dream a half dozen times, studied it in school on a regular basis since grade five, and can probably recite Helena's "O, spite! O, Hell!" monologue from memory. We will not have any trouble understanding the RSC's production of Dream currently playing at Luminato. But for those of you who haven't brushed up on your Shakespeare, you might find the production a bit of a challenge—unless you're fluent in Tamil, Malayalam, Sinhalese, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, and Sanskrit, that is. The multilingual production is a real treat for the initiated, but with only about fifty percent of the text spoken in the original English it's hard to know how easy it will be for the layfolk to understand.

If you've been around U of T for the past month, there's almost no way you've missed the filming for The Incredible Hulk. From having tanks and soldiers marching along College Street to invade the Koffler Centre to shoots––like yesterday's––that saw soldiers firing live ammunition inside Knox College's courtyard, it's been pretty difficult to ignore.

At a press conference held this morning at the Canon Theatre, members of the band Queen and comedian Ben Elton gathered to promote the musical "We Will Rock You," opening in March, 2007. The press conference follows days of auditioning in which Elton, as well as Brian May and Roger Taylor, whittled 60 finalists down to a cast of 30 or so.

Overheard in the lobby halfway through the second act of Wicked, the "spellbinding musical" at the Canon Theatre.
