The Black Cloud is Coming

This Thursday, November 2nd, a black cloud will descend upon Toronto. Newmindspace has teamed up with World Wildlife Fund Canada to show Toronto that ignoring global warming won't make it go away. Check out their excellent new blog and website, and make sure to join us this Thursday, November 2nd at Metro Hall Square where a massive installation will bring the message home, all day long.

More info about Thursday's monumental event here.

Although I'm all for this installation, no post about Trick or Train tonight?

I work nearby Metro Hall and am really looking forward to checking this out. Hopefully anyone near downtown will take a few minutes from their day to see what we're doing to the planet.

A few members of Samba Elegua (we gotta work too) will show up and play between noon and 1pm to help make some noise!

I'm sad to say I can't attend but I do hope for pics and vids of the event.......share the knowledge on the web!

I'm for anything that raises awareness over climate change. Kudos to you guys for doing this project.

I should very much like to use (and acknowledge) the Canadian W.W.F. global warming video of the traffic/countryside/world scene with all its warnings and educational facts with my class of year 6 children (age 10-11 U.K.) who are presenting an assembly to their school on the subject of Global Warming. However, the scroll times on the pre-set video are too restrictive and I should like to ask who to contact for permission to use, if at all possible etc. Please advise. From Daniel, supply teacher in Easington, County Durham, England, living in Wallsend, near Newcastle upon Tyne, England.
