That's A Lot of Buildings
Bob Krawczyk we salute you. Krawczyk is the creator of TOBuilt.com, a website that is trying to photograph every single building in Toronto. Over the last few years Krawczyk has been focussing on skyscrapers, award-winning buildings and heritage buildings, so you probably won't find photos of your aunt Jane's bungalow in Etobicoke, but you never know.
So far Krawczyk has got (sit down for this) 7,647 buildings on his site. Most of these are homes but the list also includes one castle, two lighthouses and 11 barns.

Holy crap.
Holy crap indeed David... the bar has been raised for TO photo-documentation. Have you considered updating your TTC project to include every bus stop in the city?
Looks like alot of these are pulled from mls.ca or icx.ca.
How else to explain the "photos" of artist renderings of unbuilt buildings?
I bow to the extreme awesomeness that is TOBuilt. It would be cool if the public were eventually able to add information à la IMDB.com or Wikipedia, especially for trivia (i.e. "Ernest Hemingway lived here from 1920 to 1924...")
As for the renderings of unbuilt developments, they're available on the developers' websites.
A way for people to add comments for each building could be cool.
Thanks for the great notice, I feel saluted. Yes, images of non-existing buildings are generally not photographs, but drawing culled from a variety of sources. However, all the photos are mine, and that's the vast majority of the images on the site.
I think its a great idea to build in a feature by which people could comment on the buildings. I think it could bring the buildings to life. I have a bunch of basic things to fix, first. I've incorporated a few comments about buildings from users as of last night, but only as notes.
Remember that Google Map/Wiki mashup from a month ago? That would be a cool interface option.
