The People vs. the TTC
Forget war and poverty, a new cause worth fighting for has emerged: the upper echelons at the TTC have sent a cease and desist order to the creator of the miraculous A Warmer Soupy Butt anagram map for trademark violations. Grab your protest signs and subway tokens and meet at the TTC Davisville Headquarters to let them know the TTC belongs to the public. Well, maybe that's not warranted, but at least join the online uproar and send the TTC brass a message that their attempts to quash our attempts to mythologize Toronto's indispensable public transit infrastructure are not taken lightly. I wonder how it worked when Guinness used the TTC Map a few years ago to mimic a pint of beer in the Yonge/University loop - guess if there's a dollar or two to be made in whoring out the route map, that's ok.
